Zee Zhen
With over 8 years of hands-on golf experience and 4 years of dedicated teaching, Coach Zee has become a trusted name in golf coaching in Toronto. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player aiming to sharpen your skills, Coach Zee’s approach is personalized, practical, and results-driven.
Coach Zee has helped numerous students improve their game, focusing on everything from swing mechanics to course strategy. Their passion for golf, combined with a keen understanding of the game, ensures that every lesson is engaging and effective.
Coaching Philosophy
We believe that traditional method-based teaching is flawed because every golfer is unique. No two swings are alike, and what works for one student may not work for another. Golfers have different learning styles, body types, swing patterns, personalities, skill levels, and physical limitations. In golf, a one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn’t work.
Instead, we have developed a coaching framework rather than a rigid teaching method. This framework is rooted in scientific research, focusing not only on peak performance but also on effective practice techniques. While learning styles may vary, the brain’s process of translating and retaining new skills is surprisingly consistent.
Our philosophy is straightforward: the goal for every student is to find their best version—not to mimic someone else. By building on their strengths and identifying the root causes of their weaknesses, students can achieve meaningful improvements. We believe that creating a personalized game improvement plan tailored to each player’s unique needs is the most effective path to success.
Guiding Principles
Have a Clear Vision and a Plan
There are always lessons to be learned, but there can be no improvement without a plan! Begin with the end in mind by asking questions and establishing a crystal clear vision of success for each student.
Adapt to the Student’s Needs
"A student should never have to adapt to a coaching style; rather, the coach must adapt their style to meet the individual needs of each student."
Effective Practice Over Time Spent
It’s not the amount of time you practice that matters, but how effectively you practice. Focus on quality practice to achieve meaningful results.
Transfer Skills to the Course
Coaching goes beyond improved ball striking on the driving range; the real challenge is helping students transfer their skills to the golf course.
Control the Process, Not the Results
Golfers should focus on controlling their process and emotional reactions to outcomes, rather than wasting energy on results they cannot control.

I’ve been struggling with my game for the past year using other subscribed websites, however since starting with your instructions I have managed to play pretty consistently over past month, it all started when watching your video with Peter Cowen and importance of the right elbow. Irons are very straight but odd shank and driver hitting fairways much more consistently.

I find all of your videos very accessible and informational. You've certainly helped improve my consistency and given a solid foundation to recalibrate when I invariably start slipping into old habits. Cheers!

I just wanted to let you know that I have been improving thanks to you. Almost all aspects of my game have improved. I'm just a little guy 5'5, just under 130lb and 57yrs old.

''I could shoot pretty good scores but I always fought a hook. They showed me how to rotate properly with my body and less with my hands.''

"I can't realistically see myself hitting the ball any better or more consistently down the range or on the course than I am now, and I understand my misses now as well."

As someone with a busy schedule, the online swing analysis was a perfect fit. I submitted my swing video, and within a few days, I got personalized feedback with step-by-step improvement plans. My swing has never been better, and I love that I can work on my game at my own pace. Totally worth it!

I was skeptical at first, but after using the swing improvement service, I saw results right away. The team provided me with a detailed video explaining exactly where my swing was going wrong and how to fix it. My iron shots are crisper, and my accuracy has improved significantly. Highly recommend for anyone looking to sharpen their skills.
